Small Group Support/Truth Teams

TRUTH TEAMS

Hurting people are often those who often have become "stuck" emotionally, and need some help in moving forwards into maturity. Just as healthy children need relationships at all levels to grow into well rounded adults, so too those who are emotionally and spiritually still in the child stage need to be surrounded and embraced by people in all stages and abilities.

But those who surround hurting people also need to be those who understand that their needs can only be met in Christ, and acknowledge that only in Him are we truly free, clean and fulfilled.

Heart for Truth can visit your church to help you draw together a small team of people, a "family" or "micro-church" who will help a particular individual to learn who he/she really is in Christ, and who can, in all kinds of everyday situations, help them to grasp and live out the truths that can set them free.

We have a name for these groups who help to lead someone into maturity – Truth Teams. Their purpose is to remind the hurting person again and again, in every life situation, the truth of who they are in Christ, who God is as their Healer and Redeemer, and what they are now able to do in Him. It is the truth – knowing and living the truth – that sets us free (John 8:31,32). With this firm and boundaried structure in place the team is also able to bring practical and emotional support to show tangible and life-changing love, but in a way that ensures nobody burns out or becomes overburdened.

You can be assured we will do all we can to facilitate you in helping the wounded in your church come right through into the wholeness and freedom that is their right in Christ.
