About "Heart for Truth"What We Do:
Heart for Truth is all about encouraging and equipping Christian leaders to: - Recognise the huge, untapped potential of those in our Churches who are hurting or marginalised due to trauma, depression, mental illness or anxiety.
- Give them the confidence to lead these hurting people into the real freedom which is their birthright in Christ.
Please see the services we provide to find out how we can help you. What We Believe: We believe that absolutely nobody is so damaged, wounded or hurting that Jesus cannot bring them to a place of freedom and wholeness. Heart for Truth exists to help churches and Christian faith communities to recognise the power and truth of that statement, and live it out. Then those on the fringe who may be ignored or just tolerated, and who may have been ill treated, abused, traumatised or are hurting in some way, may find themselves wonderfully set free to love and serve in the power of the Holy Spirit. We have the firm conviction that Jesus Christ can bring everyone into a place of healing and freedom. No matter what the circumstances, we believe that Christ can set us free from any kind of bondage, trauma or inner pain. With that powerful truth in mind, our vision is that every church be actively engaged in embracing every single member. This involves: - healing for the sick
- community for the marginalised
- counsel for the hurting and confused
- encouragement for the down-cast
- a sense of belonging to every member
Most importantly, we must ensure that those who see themselves as too poor or uneducated, unworthy or damaged may be swept into the centre of all that God is doing with and in His people in these days. Our foundation is rooted in the Word of God and played out in personal experience. Heart for Truth seeks to equip the Body of Christ to be a safe place in which wounded Christians can be gently and boldly led into maturity and wholeness, and beyond. Only then will they be able to voice what they really know to be true: Jesus is truly alive! With the above achieved within the church, both individually and corporately, we will then be free to inaugurate the kingdom of God. The world needs to hear from those who were hurting but have been made whole; from the "little people" who are now shouting from the roof tops that nothing is too hard for our God! This can only happen if we take the first steps to include absolutely everyone within our church. Read our Core Values Read our Mission Statement Who We Are:
The Ministry is headed up by Carolyn Bramhall whose own journey has freed her from a wounded past, filled with depression and fragmentation. Her experiences have given her the firm conviction that: Nobody is so "messed up" that Jesus Christ cannot bring them into a place of healing and freedom. She now aims to equip others to give what she has received. God welcomes all who come to him, and we at Heart for Truth long to see His church embracing all those who are broken, hurting or marginalised. Carolyn has diplomas in counselling, theology and Christian Work, and has worked in the area of mental health, both Christian and secular, for thirty years. With her husband she has established a Refuge for women in Madera, California, and was the founding member of the West Berkshire Friendship Clubs. She worked with Freedom in Christ UK (FIC) for six years and Heart for Truth owes much to the excellent teaching material and support of FIC. She continues to be a member of their Teaching Team and maintains strong links with them. She has been married for thirty years to John and both are leaders in the local Anglican Church. They have two grown children, Amy and Luke. Her autobiography is called "Am I A Good Girl Yet?" and is published by Monarch. Heart for Truth Trustees
